Puzzled

Why does time seem to go by quicker the older we get? I remember when I was a teenager I couldn't WAIT to move out and it seemed to take FOREVER before I turned 18 (and I moved out 3 weeks after graduating from high school). Then, I couldn't wait to be 21 and now allofasudden I'm 42 and I'm wondering where the hell the time has gone?? My baby sister just turned 21 this month. I was 21 when she was born. What?? I remember last New Year's Eve with my aunt and uncle like it was 2 weeks ago and it's been almost a year. I remember waking up Monday and thinking how tired I was and now tomorrow is Friday and I'm still tired. I'm not really bummed by all of this, and there really is no sense in getting all worked up since time is going to fly by whether I want it to or not. I just need to try and remember to "live in the moment". Life is pretty good, and I want to enjoy it!

Oh boy do I hear you. I was just talking to thing 2 about this the other day. He said "you know how you're always saying how fast we are growing up? For me, it feels like it's taking FOREVER".

Trying to wrap my head around the fact that it is the holiday season already is giving me a headache!

I agree Shelly. There must be a time warp between the ages of birth to 21 that doesn't exist after 40.The old time takes time saying I could never get until I turned 50. Now all I want is time and more time and it is really the only thing that is worthwhile that I can give. My time.
OK a shoe box full of fifties is nice too.
