Yes, it's the damn soccer ball again! I had to take it away from Tug after a bit because he doesn't know when to stop! He couldn't even get it out of his pool. The little fella' is gonna give himself heat stroke.

Dog Day
My boss said let's have "Fido Day" on Friday. Hmm...we have 5 people that work in the office and 11 dogs between us. That could have been interesting. Especially, if I had brought Willy the humper or Tug the aggressor. So, Lola made the cut. She is actually the perfect dog to have at work. Can't bark (someone along the way debarked her), she won't run out the door, she won't bite (unless you are a kid), and she will quite happily sit on my lap, in the sun, or on her bed. In fact, I think I will bring her to work with me again next week since everyone is going to be out of town for the 4th of July weekend.
The Princess
All Mabel wanted to do was play with Lola, but she wouldn't have anything to do with her. Lola is kind of a snob.
The Dog Whisperer...NOT. I was trying to get them to pose with me for the photo!

Can you say obsessive...
Tug is one CRAZY dog. He obsesses over toys, especially balls. He wanted the soccer ball so bad, so of course Alan had to torment him a bit and get him all wet. Tug won't jump in the water to get his toys, and I think that's a good thing because I'm not so sure he can get out by himself. I finally put the ball away because I was afraid he would give himself heatstroke. It was only about a 110 today!

Softball!
Our friends, Leslie and John, from Marysville were in town this weekend. Their daughter Elizabeth is an awesome softball player who is on a select team and the purpose of the tournament this weekend was to get noticed by college recruiters. I had no idea how competitive all of this is and Elizabeth puts in a lot of hours practicing, playing and traveling! Next weekend the family will be in Colorado. July 1st is the magic day to find out what colleges are interested in her. I will keep my fingers crossed. Not only are mom and dad proud about the prospect of an athletic scholarship but she is a straight A student as well! So, we hung out with them for several hours this Sunday afternoon in the 105 degree heat (BUT the humidity was only 3%) and had a great time catching up! We are already looking forward to seeing them next year and hope to have more time to visit and maybe show them a few cool sites!

Long Weekend
Alan and I headed out to Salt Lake City Thursday morning. Al's company had a golf tournament that he was playing in but they needed someone to drive the company vehicle with all the golf clubs, so Alan got the job. Since the company was paying for gas and two nights hotels I decided to tag along. I was happy to do it since I got to see my family. Thursday night we went to a party put on by the company and Friday Alan played and froze his butt off. Seriously, it was cold. Like 45-55 degrees cold and all the wusses from Las Vegas weren't happy about it! In the meantime, while he was playing, Rikki, Jaxon, and Lileigh picked me up and we went to the Children's Museum at the Gateway Mall. It's always fun seeing the kids and it's amazing how much they grow in just a few short months. We just saw them at Easter but they both look bigger and Lileigh's hair is longer. Later, we met up with Alan and Jake and went out to dinner. The next morning Alan and I hightailed it out of Salt Lake to head back to the warmth we are used to. We got home and hung out by the "poverty pool" for the rest of the afternoon enjoying the 90+ degrees. I have a feeling we will be doing a lot of that this summer. One word for us...LAZY!!

And We're BACK!
Our computers are working. We are unpacked and we actually got a car into the garage. Life is good! We rewarded ourselves by lazing around this afternoon. It was the first time we really got into the spa (or "poverty pool" as Alan likes to call it). We have never had a spa/pool so it will be fun AND we might even get tans since we all know tan fat looks better than white fat! :)
